The Very Best - Warm Heart of Africa

Great, great track featuring Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend.  Missed them at Pitchfork but they’re goin’ places.

Phoenix - Lisztomania

Great song off a great album from a great band that deserves the great amount of attention they’re finally receiving.  The video is pretty understated, but this is one of those songs that you could see being everywhere.  Cool interview with them in Pitchfork too.

P4K Fest is getting out of hand

In their own words, “Just when you thought the lineup for 2009 Pitchfork Music Festival couldn’t get any better… it just did!”

I was already amped for The National, Grizzly Bear, Flaming Lips, Yeasayer and Blitzentrapper, but adding DOOM put it in a new orbit.  Is his new album that great?  No, not really, but he will be a sweet live act and has an amazing back catalogue.  This festival is singlehandedly slicing my “to-see” list down considerably, I just hope the weather is alright.

Pitchfork: Radiohead: Pablo Honey: Collector's Edition / The Bends: Collector's Edition / OK Computer: Collector's Edition

3-way review over at Pitchfork of the collector sets of Radiohead’s Pablo Honey, OK Computer and The Bends.  I was thinking as I clicked on the link that “if they don’t give OK Computer and The Bends 10’s I’m going to flip.”  Luckily, they gave them both 10’s and Pablo Honey a “wtf” 5.4.  Weird reading review, but spot-on.
